The Pistoia Alliance is proud to announce the shortlist for the 2025 Young Data Scientist of the Year Award. This inaugural industry award has been established to recognise, nurture and reward emerging talent in life sciences.
The shortlist includes individuals working in industry and in academia from around the world. Those who have made it to the shortlist have been selected due to their demonstration of innovation, technical expertise, and their contribution to the life sciences industry.
The shortlisted entries will now progress to the judging stage, where an esteemed panel of industry experts will evaluate each entry and select three finalists to present their entries at the Pistoia Alliance annual London conference on March 26, 2025 at the Royal Society of Medicine. The winner will be announced following an audience vote and will receive a prize of $1,500, mentoring from the judging panel and access to 12 months of training initiatives from the Pistoia Alliance.
The judging panel includes Lars Greiffenberg, Senior Director, R&D Information Research, AbbVie; Julie Huxley-Jones, Vice President, Scientific Digital & Tech, Vertex Pharmaceuticals; Bryn William Jones, Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Connected Discovery Ltd; Torsten Osthus, Chief Executive Officer, OSTHUS; and Christian Baber, Chief Portfolio Officer of the Pistoia Alliance.
