EU Life Science Informatics Forum Swiss Chapter – March 2026

The Swiss Chapter of the European Life Science Informatics Forum (LSIF) convened on 4 March 2026 at the headquarters of Syngenta in Basel. The event brought together experts from pharmaceutical companies, agricultural life sciences, technology providers, and research organizations to explore how Agentic AI is reshaping research, discovery, and decision-making in the life sciences.

The session focused on the theme “Outcome-Driven Agentic AI: Governance & Education.” Through a series of lightning talks and an interactive roundtable discussion, participants examined the real-world deployment of AI agents in research environments, the governance frameworks required for their responsible use, and the cultural and educational shifts needed to unlock their full potential.

The Swiss LSIF meeting highlighted a clear shift in the life sciences sector: AI is no longer just a tool for analysis—it is becoming an operational layer in scientific research.
