This initiative developed vital leadership and mentoring skills to support diversity and inclusion in life sciences
Overview
The Pistoia Alliance delivered a dedicated Diversity & Inclusion Leadership program for organizations seeking to develop leadership and mentoring skills and promote diversity in the life sciences work environment. While many companies have their own DE&I programs, collaboration, innovation and education are at the heart of the Pistoia Alliance which made us ideally placed to provide a forum and safe space where best practices and ideas could be discussed and shared cross-company.
We successfully trained over 80 participants from 29 organizations around the world creating an alumni of advocates committed to championing diversity and inclusion initiatives and using the skills they acquired through our program to support, initiate, and lead diversity efforts at the companies where they work. Since completing the program these individuals have remained connected and supported through opportunities to network and learn through the Pistoia Alliance.
Our D&I Leadership program participants include leaders from Abbvie, Accenture, Algorithmiq, AstraZeneca, Bayer, Biogen, BLS, BMS, CCDC, Chemaxon, CSL, DeepMatter, Eli Lilly, Elsevier, Elucidata, Gilead, GSK, J&J, Merck, MSD, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Qubit Pharmaceuticals, Roche, Sanofi, Seagen, Takeda, Vertex.
